Wi-Fi 6, 5G, AI and PCIe 4.0 storage modules are accommodated by four M.2 Keys, enabling the system’s incorporation with existing hardware to bring AI to the edge. The UP Xtreme i12 Edge also supports Intel® Iris® Xe graphics, Intel® DL Boost, and the Intel® Distribution of OpenVINO™ Toolkit, boosting GPU image classification inferencing performance by up to 2.81 times that of the previous generation. Combining this expandability with a library of inferencing models makes the UP Xtreme i12 Edge ideal for bringing AI to existing healthcare, industrial, and retail equipment.
Measuring just 152mm x 123.8mm x 72.5mm yet equipped with 12th Generation Intel Core processing, the UP Xtreme i12 Edge is both compact and powerful. Further, the UP Xtreme i12 Edge does not sacrifice spec for space; with USB 4.0, USB 3.2, and USB 2.0 ports joining an Intel® i226-IT LAN port running at 2.5Gpbs with Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) support to exploit the device’s onboard LPDDR5 for real-time data processing.
The processing speed of the UP Xtreme i12 Edge can be parlayed into the development of elite smart retail solutions. With a display interface consisting of HDMI 2.0, DP 1.4a, and eDP 1.4b ports with DP 1.4a via USB Type-C port, users can take advantage of four simultaneous 4K displays. Further befitting smart retail is the device’s rich array of connectors for cameras and sensors, the output from which is enhanced by Intel® Iris® Xe graphics.
Achieving heat dissipation via a heatsink, the UP Xtreme i12 Edge negates dust accumulation, making it a reliable fanless solution for industrial automation and smart transport applications. Along with its elemental protection, the UP Xtreme i12 Edge boasts an impressive temperature range of 32°F~140°F (0°C~60°C) and 12~36V power input range, which facilitate reliable operation in industrial environments.
