Encouraging the adoption of AAEON solutions powered by Intel AI technology for robotics, AAEON has introduced the CEXD-INTRBL, an exclusive robotics development system equipped with the new Intel® Core™ Ultra (Series 3) architecture (formerly Panther Lake).
Combining Intel® Core™ Ultra X7 358H processing with an integrated Intel® Arc™ GPU and Intel® NPU 5.0, the CEXD-INTRBL can leverage up to 180 TOPs with XMX AI Engines in an all-in-one development system custom-built for the next generation of advanced robotics development.
Designed for platform synergy, the CEXD-INTRBL grants support for up to eight GMSL cameras to facilitate the long distance, low-latency imaging required for AMR, drone, and autonomous humanoid robotics. Alongside this addition, the platform grants key industrial communication interfaces for multi-sensor support, allowing developers to fully leverage the exceptional AI performance of the Panther Lake platform specifically for the needs of robotics.
Armed with the Intel® Core™ Ultra X7 358H alongside 64GB of LPDDR5 running at up to 8533MT/s, the CEXD-INTRBL leverages exceptional computational and inferencing capabilities. Making use of its integrated CPU, GPU, and NPU to achieve up to 180 TOPS, the CEXD-INTRBL offers the ability to simultaneously process multiple camera and sensor data streams while running complex AI models, blending perception, understanding, and reaction without the need for external GPUs.
With support for up to eight GMSL cameras, the CEXD-INTRBL brings vision to robotics deployments with dramatically reduced latency, able to transmit high-resolution, multi-view visual data over longer distances at remarkably high-frame-rates. Combined with the system’s exceptionally fast Intel Core Ultra base, this grants high-speed perception of a robot’s surroundings, making it ideal for applications that rely on real-time object detection and collision avoidance, such as autonomous vehicles.
With four USB Type-C ports, the CEXD-INTRBL is designed to support a multitude of such as LiDAR, infrared, and depth sensors and cameras, able to grant visual and sensory data to robotic systems. Additionally, a multipurpose HAT 40 GPIO gives the CEXD-INTRBL a means through which to interface with critical robotics peripherals for temperature control, battery management, and internal balance control.
Boasting CANBus and four 2.5GbE LAN ports with IEEE 1588 PTP (Precision Time Protocol), the CEXD-INTRBL is capable of precise torque, velocity, and position control, as well as coordinated multi-joint motion. Critical for joint, actuator and motion control, these provide a comprehensive foundation for humanoid robotics development.
