UP Xtreme 7100 Developer Board (UPX-ASLN) is AAEON’s newest all-in-one robotics solution, meticulously designed for Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR), Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV), and industrial automation applications. A comprehensive set of communication interfaces are housed in a compact 120.35mm x 122.5mm board fortified with rugged features to grant longevity and reliability.

All of this is built on the low-power, cost-efficient Intel® Processor N-series CPU platform, possessing the attributes necessary to power advanced robotic solutions without the high costs or power consumption typically associated with executing such complex tasks. Built to facilitate communication with sensors, actuators, and other peripherals essential to robotics applications such as AMR, the UP Xtreme 7100 is equipped with a selection of terminal blocks and a 30-pin board-to-board connector, granting access to digital I/O, GPIO, and isolated RS-232/422/485 function. Further, the board’s CAN 2.0B interface, DIP switch, and LED indicators are conducive to establishing communication with other devices on the CANBus network, making the UP Xtreme 7100 not only AMR-ready, but suited to a wide variety of industrial control solutions, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
The UP Xtreme 7100 features SKUs with Intel® Core™ i3-N305 and Intel® Processor N97 embedded CPUs, both of which offer economical benefits in the form of low power consumption and cost-friendliness. Nonetheless, the UP Xtreme 7100 still benefits from up to 8 cores and 8 threads of processing power, enhanced by a remarkably high single-core frequency. The platform consequently provides the sensor data processing, integrated graphics, and resources for path planning and control algorithms needed to make it ideal for AMR and AGV deployment.

Built on a compact 120.35mm x 122.5mm form factor, the UP Xtreme 7100 is easily deployed in tight spaces, a fact made even more impressive by its fanless design. Moreover, the board is remarkably low-profile, at just 42.75mm tall. To ensure compatibility with industrial use, the board is armed with a number of rugged features, including a wide 9V to 36V power input range, surge, vibration, and shock resistance, along with lockable I/O ports to prevent key data being lost due to harsh operating environments.
If you are looking for an out of the box, ready to deploy system-level solution, the UP Xtreme 7100 Edge contains all of the benefits of its board counterpart in a cable-free, VESA-mountable Mini PC measuring just 152mm x 124mm x 40mm. For extra protection, the UP Xtreme 7100 Edge also offers an optional shock absorber kit and wireless LAN for Wi-Fi 6 and 5G for enhanced connectivity. Making it the system for any project, the UP Xtreme 7100 Edge is also compatible with the Hailo-8™ M.2 2280 AI module, adding AI development capabilities to meet and exceed the demands of the next generation.
